Autism Assessments

Conducted to determine whether an individual's differences in social communication, sensory preferences, and behaviors are associated with autism.

These assessments take a neuro-affirming approach, recognizing that each person’s brain is uniquely wired. Instead of seeing autism-related traits as issues to be “fixed,” the goal is to understand an individual’s strengths and challenges to provide appropriate support.

If the individual meets the diagnostic criteria for autism, a formal diagnosis will be included in the report. This report can be used to apply for NDIS funding if desired.

Who can benefit from an autism assessment?

  • Children who show signs of differences in communication, sensory preferences, or repetitive behaviors.
  • Adults who suspect they may be autistic and want clarity on their neurotype.
  • Anyone looking for a deeper understanding of how their brain processes social and sensory experiences.
