Do you see NDIS clients?
Yes. Neurospa Psychology supports children, adolescents, and adults with self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funding. We provide psychological therapy and assessment services tailored to individual support needs.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No, you do not need a referral to book an appointment at Neurospa Psychology. We welcome private clients without a referral.
However, if you would like to access Medicare rebates for psychology sessions, you will need a valid Mental Health Care Plan and referral from your GP. Private health rebates may also be available depending on your level of cover.
What is a Mental Health Care Plan?
A Mental Health Care Plan is provided by your GP for individuals experiencing mental health concerns. With a valid Mental Health Care Plan, eligible clients may claim a Medicare rebate of $98.97 for up to 10 sessions per year.
Please note Neurospa Psychology is not a bulk-billing practice, and an out-of-pocket gap fee will apply.
Do you offer assessments?
Yes. We provide comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, including:
- ADHD Assessments
- Autism Assessments
- Intellectual Functioning (IQ) Assessments
- Learning (Psycho-Educational) Assessments
Our assessments are designed to provide clarity, practical recommendations, and comprehensive reporting to support individuals, families, schools, and where appropriate, NDIS applications.
How long is a standard appointment?
Standard psychology appointments are generally 50 minutes in duration.
How much does it cost to see a psychologist?
Standard psychology sessions are $270 per session for a 50-minute appointment.
Clients with a valid Mental Health Care Plan may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $98.97 for up to 10 sessions per year. Private health rebates may also be available depending on your level of cover.
What happens in the first session?
If you are new to therapy, your psychologist will guide you through the process in a supportive and structured way. During the first session, we will discuss what has brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and the goals you would like to work towards.
Your psychologist may also ask questions about your personal background, current circumstances, and challenges to gain a better understanding of your needs. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions about therapy, treatment approaches, or the process moving forward.
Do you offer Telehealth appointments?
Yes. Neurospa Psychology offers secure Telehealth appointments via video or phone for clients who are remote or prefer online sessions. Telehealth appointments are available across Australia where appropriate.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, a $150 cancellation fee applies. If you fail to attend your appointment or do not give at least 48 hours’ notice, you will be charged the full session amount as a cancellation fee.
