NDIS Therapy Adelaide | Psychology Support for NDIS Participants

How NDIS Psychology Therapy Can Help

Psychological therapy funded through the NDIS is designed to help participants build skills, improve independence, and increase participation in daily life and the community.

At Neurospa Psychology, our AHPRA-registered psychologists work collaboratively with participants of all ages (children, adolescents, and adults) to provide targeted support for:

  • Emotional Regulation: Developing practical strategies to understand, manage, and respond to strong emotions, anxiety, or stress.
  • Social and Communication Skills: Building confidence for social interactions, understanding social cues, and developing relationship skills.
  • Daily Routines and Transitions: Creating strategies to manage changes in routine, improve organisation, and handle transitions between activities.
  • Coping Strategies: Developing healthy ways to navigate sensory overwhelm, workplace or school stress, and life adjustments.
  • Behaviour Support: Understanding the function behind behaviours of concern and developing positive replacement strategies.

NDIS Funding for Psychology Therapy

Psychology therapy is typically funded under the Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living category of your NDIS plan.

Self-Managed and Plan-Managed Participants

We welcome both Self-Managed and Plan-Managed NDIS participants:

  • If you are Self-Managed: We will issue an invoice to you directly after your session. You can then claim the funds back through the NDIS portal.
  • If you are Plan-Managed: We will send the invoice directly to your nominated Plan Manager for processing, meaning you have no out-of-pocket expenses (provided you have sufficient funds allocated).

Please note: Neurospa Psychology is not a registered NDIS provider, which means we cannot accept Agency-Managed (NDIA-managed) participants at this time.

Our Therapeutic Approach

We understand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Our psychologists draw on established, evidence-based frameworks tailored to each participant’s unique needs, neurotype, and NDIS goals:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Mindfulness-based interventions
  • Neurodiversity-affirming practices

Whether supporting an autistic child with school transitions, helping an adult with ADHD develop executive functioning strategies, or supporting an individual with an intellectual disability to build social confidence, our focus is always on practical, functional outcomes.

Who Is NDIS Therapy For?
