For Schools & Educators — Psychology Assessments for Students

Neurospa Psychology partners with schools across Adelaide and regional South Australia to provide timely, comprehensive psychological assessments for students who need answers. We understand the pressures educators face — long public system waitlists, limited school psychologist availability, and parents seeking guidance you may not be resourced to provide.

We offer a direct referral pathway with no waitlist, fast turnaround on reports, and a commitment to providing actionable recommendations that classroom teachers can implement immediately.

Why Schools Refer to Neurospa Psychology

No waitlist. While the public system can take 6-12 months, we typically see students within 1-2 weeks of referral. This means students get the support they need within the same school term — not the next school year.

School-ready reports. Our reports are written with educators in mind. Every report includes a dedicated “Recommendations for School” section with specific, practical strategies that classroom teachers, learning support staff, and SENCOs can implement immediately.

IEP and One Plan support. Our assessment reports provide the diagnostic evidence and specific recommendations needed to develop or update Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and One Plans.

SACE Special Provisions documentation. For Year 11 and 12 students, our reports meet SACE Board requirements for special provisions applications.

Feedback meetings with school staff. We offer optional feedback sessions (in person or via video call) with your learning support team to discuss assessment findings at no additional cost.

How the Referral Process Works

Step 1: Contact us via phone (08 5117 3064) or email (hello@neurospa.com.au) with the student’s name, year level, and reason for referral.

Step 2: We send a consent form and background questionnaire to the parent/guardian, plus a teacher questionnaire to the referring school staff member.

Step 3: Assessment sessions are conducted at our clinic (76 Sir Donald Bradman Drive, Hilton) — typically 2 sessions of 2 hours each.

Step 4: A comprehensive written report is delivered to the family within 10 business days. With parent consent, a copy is provided directly to the school.

Step 5: Optional feedback meeting with school staff to discuss findings and recommendations.
